# Mark Boucher is the fifth wicketkeeper to complete 50 dismissals or more against India. Adam Gilchrist holds a record with 75 dismissals. He is followed by Jeff Dujon (60), Wasim Bari (55), Allan Knott (54) and Mark Boucher (51).

# Virender Sehwag and Murali Vijay have shared a stand of 43 - India's highest opening partnership at Kingsmead, Durban.

# VVS Laxman (38) has posted his second highest innings at Kingsmead, Durban - his highest is an unbeaten 50 in December 2006.

# Laxman has averaged 51.50 at Kingsmead, Durban, aggregating 103 in three innings, including a fifty.

# Dale Steyn has taken his wickets' tally this year to 56 at an average of 21.62 in eleven Tests - the most by a South African in 2010.

# Steyn (4/36) has produced his second best bowling performance at Kingsmead, Durban - his best being the  6 for 72 against West Indies in January 2008.

# Steyn, with 11 wickets at 15.90 runs apiece, is the top wicket-taker in the present South Africa-India series.

# Sachin Tendulkar is now five runs short of becoming the first Indian player to complete 1,000 runs in South Africa - 995 at an average of 43.26 in 14 Tests. His tally includes four hundreds and three fifties.

# Tendulkar's record at Kingsmead is below average - 106 in six innings (four Tests) at an average of 17.66.  His only fifty at this venue is 63 in December 2006.

# Sehwag has aggregated 1390 at an average of 63.18 in 14 Tests this year. His tally includes five hundreds and eight fifties.

# Sehwag's aforesaid tally is his second best in a calendar year, next only to the 1462 (ave.56.23) in 14 Tests in 2008.

# Sehwag (25) has recorded his highest innings at Kingsmead, Durban.  In the 2006-07 Test at this venue, he had made 0 & 8.

# Murali Vijay (19) has recorded his second highest innings against South Africa, next only to the 32 at Nagpur in February this year.

# Rahul Dravid (25) has recorded his second highest innings at Kingsmead, Durban - his highest is 27 not out in December 1996.

# Dravid is averaging 18.75 at Durban - 75 in five innings at a strike rate of 35.37.
