# Michael Hussey (142) has recorded his highest innings against Sri Lanka, bettering the 133 at Brisbane in November 2007.

# Hussey has played four Tests against Sri Lanka, aggregating 551 in six innings at an average of 110.20, including three centuries.  Only once in a Test match against Sri Lanka, he has missed a hundred and that too by just 5 runs at Galle - 95 in the first Test of the present series.

# Hussey has recorded 14 centuries in Tests - ten in Australia and four away from home.

# Hussey's four overseas hundreds include one each against England, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

# Hussey has completed his 21,000 runs in first-class cricket - 21006 at an average of 52.64 in 248 matches, including 56 hundreds and 96 fifties.

# Shaun Marsh (141) has become the 19th Australian player to post a hundred on Test debut - the first Australian to do so against Sri Lanka.

# Marsh's innings is the seventh highest by an Australian debutant in Tests.  Charles Bannerman holds a record for the highest individual innings on debut for Australia - 165 retired hurt against England at Melbourne in March 1877 - the first Test in the history.
