  • Abraham de Villiers is the first player from Delhi Daredevils to make 300 runs in the second edition of the IPL - 315 at an average of 63.00, including one century and two fifties.

  • Chaminda Vaas (4-0-52-2) has conceded most runs in a four-over spell in the 2009 edition of the IPL, eclipsing Jacques Kallis' figures (4-0-51-1) for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Kings XI Punjab at Kingsmead, Durban.

  • Sangwan (3/18) has registered his best bowling performance in the IPL, surpassing the 3 for 28 against Chennai Super Kings at Kingsmead, Durban.

  • Deccan Chargers, with their 12-run defeat, have won six and lost five out of eleven matches contested.

  • Delhi Daredevils, with their twelve-run win, have now won all their four matches against Deccan Chargers.

  • Rajat Bhatia (4/15) has bowled splendidly to regiser his best bowling figures in the IPL/Twenty20, eclipsing the 3 for 15 against Mumbai Indians at East London.

  • Gilchrist, with 765 at an average of 33.26, including one century and five fifties, is the top run-scorer in the IPL.

  • Both Suresh Raina and Gambhir, with 730 runs each, share the second place in the IPL.

  • Dilshan, with 24 runs off Shoaib's over, has equalled the record for most runs in one over in the second edition of the IPL.
