In terms of economy rate, Muttiah Muralitharan (4-0-8-2) has produced the fourth best bowling figures (2.00) in the IPL 2009.
Muralitharan has received his second Man of the Match award in the IPL.
Kings XI Punjab (92) have recorded their lowest ever score in the IPL. Overall, the said total is the sixth lowest in the IPL.
Kings XI Punjab's previous lowest was 112 for eight against Chennai at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai last year.
Parthiv Patel (32 off 23 balls) has registered his best score in the second edition of the IPL apart from top-scoring in the game.
Suresh Raina has aggregated his 400 runs in the IPL 2009, making 414 at an average of 31.84, including two fifties, in 13 matches.
Raina took his overall IPL run-aggregate to 835 at an average of 34.79 in 29 matches, including five fifties - the most by any batsman, eclipsing Adam Gilchrist's run-aggregate of 831 at an average of 31.96 in 27 games, including one century and five fifties.
Chennai Super Kings have won all their five matches against Kings XI - the first team to perform the feat.
Chennai posted their eighth win in the second edition of the IPL. With two vital poionts, they have now 17 and are second behind Delhi (18).
Luke Pomersbach (26 off 32 balls) has recorded his best innings in the IPL 2009.
