Samaraweera's batting average of 153.00 is the highest by a Sri Lankan player in a three-Test rubber against India.

Samaraweera and Mendis were associated in a ninth wicket stand of 118 - Sri Lanka's highest in Tests bettering the 105 between Chaminda Vaas and Nuwan Kulasekara against England at Lord's in 2006.
