The attack left bite marks on Warne's face. However, he immediately received treatment from medics, according to a report in Daily Telegraph. The doctors have informed that the bite marks will take some time to go. (In Shane Warne's India Test XI, Sourav Ganguly is Captain and Sachin Tendulkar No.4 Batsman)
"The juvenile anaconda is the one that actually struck Shane," a Network Ten spokesperson told the news.com.au website. "It's non-venomous but very aggressive.
"Anacondas have 100 rear-facing teeth. Being bitten by one is like getting 100 hypodermic needles at once."
"Shane has made no secret that snakes are one of his greatest fears so it's amazing that after being bitten he bravely continued with the trial," executive producer Stephen Tate told the Daily Telegraph.
"When Shane puts his mind to a task, he won't let anything stop him."
Warne, who has 708 Test wickets and 293 ODI wickets, retired from international cricket in 2007. He recently competed in a three-Twenty20 series in the United States, which also had top players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag.
