Currently nursing an ankle injury, star India pacer Mohammed Shami has expressed his desire to play the upcoming T20 World Cup, starting June 1 in the West Indies and USA. Shami has not featured for India since the ODI World Cup final last year in November. He missed the subsequent T20I series against Australia, as well as the tour of South Africa. With India set to host England in a five-match Test series, starting January 25, Shami did not find a place in the squad for the first two Tests.
Amid doubts over his future, Shami's new look has taken internet by storm. Taking to Instagram, Shami shared a few picture of him dressed as a groom, with a turban on his head. Fans were curious to know the reason behind his latest look.
Here's how Internet reacted:

Shami ended as the leading wicket-taker in last year's ICC Cricket World Cup in India with 24 scalps and broke several records.
He received the Arjuna Award earlier this month at Rashtrapati Bhawan by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
"This award is a dream; life passes and people are not able to win this award. I am happy that I have been nominated for this award. It is like a dream for me to get this award because my whole life I have seen many people receiving this award," Mohammed Shami had told ANI.
While reports have emerged that Shami might be back in the team for the last three Tests against England, Shami recently revealed a tentative date for his return.
“My rehabilitation is well on track, and the medical experts at NCA are happy with my progress.
There is a slight stiffness in my ankle, but that's fine. I have started my training sessions, and I
believe I will be able to make a comeback in the England series. I am targeting the series for my
return,” Shami was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
