Sangakkara XI beat Bollywood teams in celebrity match

Two celebrity cricket matches organised by the IIFA foundation saw the Sangakkara XI winning hands down over Bollywood actors even as the star struck, frenzied fans thronged the stadium.

Suneil Shetty XI lost to Sangakkara XI by 141 runs in the first match. Sangakkara's team then beat Hrithik Roshan X1 in another 20-over match.

Salman Khan, who was rehearsing for his performance tomorrow at the awards nite, did not participate in the two matches. He visited the SSC stadium towards the end. Bipasha Basu, Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor took a round of the ground to acknowledge the cheers from the crowd.

Sangakkara's team won the 'Oscar IIFA Challenge Foundation Cup' while Hrithik's team was declared the runners-up.

Sangakkara was the man of the match while Muttiah Muralitharan was the best bowler.

Upul Chandana was felicitated for the best catch while Ruwan Kalpage was honoured for hitting the best six. Suneil Shetty won the celebrity man of the match award.

The stadium was jam packed and some fans even entered the ground to have a glimpse of the stars.
