Sachin Tendulkar to be Paid Artistic Tribute
Art organisation TenArt in association with the National Gallery of Modern Art will host the show 'Deconstructed Innings - A Tribute to India's Greatest Sporting Icon Sachin Tendulkar' this December.

After being lauded and honoured across the cricket world, Sachin Tendulkar is all set to be feted in a slightly different way with 10 contemporary artists paying tribute to him through exhibition of paintings and sculptures.
Art organisation TenArt in association with the National Gallery of Modern Art will host the show 'Deconstructed Innings - A Tribute to India's Greatest Sporting Icon Sachin Tendulkar' this December.
The project has received the support of Tendulkar while the artists have spent considerable time with the cricketing icon during the development stages of the exhibits prior to the actual design and construction.
Kiran Desai has conceptualised the exhibition, which has been co-curated along with noted art curator and writer Veeranganakumari Solanki; while Pheroza Godrej, chairperson of the NGMA, has mentored the exhibition.
The exhibition will feature over 10 exhibits of various genres including installations, paintings and sculptures all pertaining to Tendulkar and cricket in a unique way.
The show seeks to bring the world of cricket and art together for the first time like the world has never seen before.
The contemporary Indian artists who will be showcased at the exhibition are -- Anand Trilochan, GR Iranna, Hema Upadhyay, Jagannath Panda, Manjunath Kamath, Remen Chopra, Riyas Komu, Shreyas Karle, Sunil Gawde, Vibha Galothra.
