This is an outstanding final over from Jofra Archer. He kept set batter Mitchell Marsh in check with three dot balls, forcing him to be run out in pursuit of a tight second run. Marsh fell for 96 off 57, and Archer then bowled new batter Ayush Badoni on the final ball. Just five runs came off the over. LSG have posted 220.

On the second ball of this over bowled by Jofra Archer, Rishabh Pant played an amazing scoop shot for a four. He kept both his feet together and, therefore, fell on the ground after executing the shot. "What is this?" said Sunil Gavaskar on-air after being left surprised.

This is a good shot manufactured by Rishabh Pant. Sandeep Sharma nailed his yorker around off stump, but the LSG captain managed to get a four off it. He went across and flicked it superbly over the backward square leg fielder for the boundary.

Brijesh Sharma ends with a 17-run over. This was a much-needed over from the Lucknow Super Giants' perspective, as the runs had dried up. Rishabh Pant smashed a six over cow corner, while Mitchell Marsh slammed a four through fine leg.

Only five runs came off the over. Yash Raj Punja ends his spell with impressive figures of 2 for 35. He has claimed both the wickets that have fallen so far. Rajasthan bowlers have kept LSG in check, conceding only 16 runs in the last three overs.

This was a brilliant over from Brijesh Sharma. He nailed his yorkers beautifully while also changing his pace. The bowler conceded only four runs in it. LSG have scored only 11 off the last two overs.

Sandeep Sharma bowled the final over of the Powerplay, and he was smashed for 15 runs in it. Josh Inglis slammed the pacer for a four and a six. He has moved to 49 off 22 balls. This has been an outstanding start for LSG.

Speaking of Parag, Jaiswal said, "He had some hamstring injury and he'll be fine soon, I hope so. So, he's not playing this game. We have three changes. Sandy, Sushant Mishra and Lhuan-dre Pretorious come in."

Jaiswal also provided an update on Ravindra Jadeja's injury. "Nothing much at the moment. Jadu bhai is recovering. He has some niggles, but he'll be fine soon," he added.

Batting has been the weakest link for LSG but Mitchell Marsh played a blinder against CSK to script a welcome win. Rishabh Pant, who has not found a settled position in the batting order throughout the season, did not come out to bat in the last game, giving time in the middle to other batters. The season is done and dusted for LSG but wins in the remaining games would lessen the pain of an otherwise forgettable campaign.

LSG, dealing with issues of their own, come into the game on the back of a rare win in the tournament. They beat Chennai Super Kings at home on May 15 and would be looking to play party-poopers in their remaining two games (last one against Punjab Kings).

Rajasthan Royals have been relying heavily on 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for flying starts but the youngster has not got enough support from Yashasvi Jaiswal at the other end. Dhruv Jurel has played some sublime knocks but the one on Sunday night was a rather subdued one with wickets falling at the other end.

Captain Riyan Parag was underwhelming in the first half of the IPL but has picked up pace in the recent games. He would want his side to be much more clinical in the last five overs with the bat.

At the high-scoring Sawai Mansingh Stadium, RR are yet to win a game this season and the final fixture here is a do or die one for the home team. They need to win both their remaining matches to enter the IPL 2026 playoffs without any difficulty.
