Rohit Sharma hosted an engagement party on Wednesday where he officially exchanged rings with girlfriend Ritika Sajdeh. The two had previously announced their engagement through their Twitter accounts.

In a private ceremony for relatives and close friends, Rohit and Ritika - who have been reportedly seeing each other for six years - wore traditional attires for the event. The ceremony reportedly took place at the Borivali Sports Complex in Mumbai and was attended by Bollywood actor Sohail Khan.

Ritika is a sports manager and handles Rohit's work engagements. The ceremony was scheduled in such a way that it did not clash with Rohit's hectic cricketing schedule. An official date for the marriage is not yet known.

The Indian team is scheduled to gather in Kolkata on Friday from where they will depart for Bangladesh a one-off Test match and a three-ODI series.
