Off-spinner Jayant Yadav's three-wicket burst put Haryana in a comfortable position as they reduced Vidarbha to 94 for three having scored a decent 329 in their first innings in a Ranji Trophy Group A match here on Friday.
At stumps, Vidarbha's professional Hemang Badani (35 batting) was at the crease in company of Ranjit Paradkar (8 batting). Vidarbha still need 236 runs to get an all-important first innings lead.
The home team batsmen, who were dismissed were openers Faiz Fazal (21) and Amol Urbhande (28) and No 3 batsman Shalabh Srivastava (0). In fact Fazal and Srivastava were dismissed in a space of three deliveries. Yadav had figures of 3 for 21 in eight overs to show for his efforts.
Earlier, started the day at 235 for four and added another 94 runs losing six wickets in the process. Overnight not out batsman Sunny Singh was finally out for 123 having hit 12 boundaries and a six in 265 deliveries.
Most successful bowler for Vidarbha was 28-year-old off-spinner Akshay Wakhare, who grabbed five for 68 in 38.1 overs.
