Praveen Kumar ruled out due to ankle injury: Manager
The Indian team manager Anirudh Chaudhry on Thursday clarified that seamer Praveen Kumar was rested for the final Test match due to ankle injury and not thumb injury.

The Indian team manager Anirudh Chaudhry on Thursday clarified that seamer Praveen Kumar was rested for the final Test match due to ankle injury and not thumb injury.
"Praveen Kumar was suffering from pain in his left ankle from an injury sustained while bowling in the 2nd innings of the 3rd Test Match between England and India at Edgbaston," a media release issued by Chaudhry stated.
It further stated, "Treatment was administered to him and he has been responding well to treatment. However, there are still some residual symptoms in his ankle due to which he was ruled out of the fourth Test between England and India at the Kia Oval."
