Ish Sodhi, originally from Ludhiana, Punjab moved to New Zealand at the age of four and has gone on to become one of the most promising young talents of leg-spin from the country. He had been working with another former Kiwi spinner, Dipak Patel from a young age. Sodhi has developed the leg-break and occasionally bowls the googly. In spite of failing to make an impression in his List A debut in Vizag against India A, he was included in the tour of Bangladesh in the 15-man squad in 2013 and went on to make his debut in the first Test in Chittagong.
