The 19-year-old revealed on Tuesday after returning home to a rousing reception that he maintains a diary and that it has helped him improve his game greatly.

Unmukt Chand played a stellar role in helping India win the U-19 World Cup. His century helped the visitors in Townsville beat hosts Australia. The 19-year-old revealed on Tuesday after returning home to a rousing reception that he maintains a diary and that it has helped him improve his game greatly.

Speaking to members of the press at a city hotel here, Chand said that he has been maintaining a dairy since he was a child. "Everybody has a different system. I have always maintained a diary since I was a child," he said. Asked what the entry on August 26 read, the player said that he mentioned his feelings before and after the match but stopped short of revealing the exact details.

"Before the match, I wrote about what the feeling was like. I do mention it as it helps me. I wrote about my felling when India last won the World Cup (under Virat Kohli) as well."
