Karachi:
According to details, Ikram Sehgal, who owns a high profile security agency, has claimed around Rs 12 million from the board after a clean up operation carried out at the national stadium in January to remove encroachments from the area inside the stadium boundary.
"Sehgal has claimed through his legal notice that the board violated the terms of the contract by bulldozing his office and sheds inside the stadium boundary wall," one source said.
Sehgal's security agency was evicted from the stadium property before the one-day matches against Sri Lanka with the board claiming he had encroached upon extra land and violated his contractual terms.
"Sehgal is an influential personality and now he has put the board under pressure since the board is already facing a possible financial crunch," one source said.
He said Sehgal was due to meet with the PCB Chief Operating Officer this week to resolve the issue out of court.
"Apparently the board is in a fix as their director human resources didn't read the contractual terms with Sehgal's company before approving the eviction operation from the stadium," the source added.
