Pawar made me a renewed offer: Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar told NDTV that he has been paid only a part of the money due to him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

The Sunil Gavaskar vs BCCI saga continues as the former batting great told NDTV that he has been paid only a part of the money, due to him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Gavaskar said that ICC president Sharad Pawar had offered him an amount of Rs 5 crore after which he decided to be a part of the IPL Governing Council.
He further said that Pawar has told him that he would arrange a meeting on the matter with BCCI chief Shashank Manohar and he hoped that soon this entire "demanding issue" would be solved.
Gavaskar said that he believed in the word of Sharad Pawar and after the (then) BCCI president had made the offer to him, he did not feel the need to get a written contract about the same.
The BCCI had earlier in the day rejected Gavaskar's claim for more money saying that the stipulated amount of Rs 1 crore for 3 years had already been paid to him.
BCCI secretary N Srinivasan went on to say that Mr Gavaskar's claim that he was promised 5 crore a year may be true but there is no written contract to prove that, he also said that the BCCI rejected Mr Gavaskar's demand for more money in it's AGM.
Gavaskar said that he has released a statement today which will clear the air about the entire matter and was ready to meet BCCI chief Shashank Manohar anywhere and hoped that he would think otherwise after meeting Sharad Pawar.
