Mumbai:

BCCI president Sharad Pawar lauded the Indian team's performance in the ongoing Twenty20 cricket World Cup by saying that the team had done well despite not having a coach.

"We have won matches against England, Pakistan and South Africa without a coach," Pawar told reporters.

Asked if his remarks were an indication that there will be no foreign coach, Pawar said "I am not saying that. The Board will take an appropriate decision on the issue."

Pawar also said that he had a chat with captain of the side Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was keen to continue the good run.
