From Kevin Pietersen to Shane Warne, all expressed their solidarity towards Paris bloodbath that saw more than 120 people dead and 200 people injured.
According to AFP, in a wave of attacks across Paris on Friday, gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" massacred scores of diners and concert-goers and launched suicide attacks outside the national stadium. (Shock, Horror For 80,000 fans During France vs Germany match After Paris Terror Attacks)
Four black-clad gunmen wearing suicide vests and wielding AK-47s stormed into the Bataclan venue in eastern Paris and methodically at hundreds of screaming concert-goers.
Interesingly, France and world champions Germany were playing their friendly game at the Stade de France stadium when three loud explosions were heard from outside the stadium during the first half.(English FA to Discuss Viability of French Friendly)
Football soon drifted from the minds of the spectators when it eventually emerged that there have been several deaths and injuries post the explosion.
President Francois Hollande was incidently at the stadium but was rushed away after the blasts.
