Captain Brendon McCullum's blazing century gave New Zealand a brisk start on the second day of the third and final Test against Pakistan in Sharjah as the death of Australian Phillip Hughes continued to cast a gloomy shadow over the match. The 33-year-old right-hander (100 not out) completed his 10th Test century, which came off 78 balls, as New Zealand reached 164 for one at tea, replying to Pakistan's first-innings total of 351.
In the morning, Pakistan, leading the series 1-0, appeared distracted by the death of Hughes and lost their last seven wickets for 66 runs as off-spinner Mark Craig (7-94) completed his first five-wicket haul in Tests.

DAY 4, SESSION 1..
Rahat Ali somehow managed to pick up wickets, he has four scalps so far while Yasir Shah has three. The Pakistani bowling attack looked toothless as Misbah looked frustrated. The Kiwis have a lead of 286 runs with two wickets remaining. Will they declare overnight or come out to bat tomorrow? What a day for the Kiwis! They started the day positively and kept scoring runs at a pretty good rate. McCullum smashed the fourth fastest ton whereas Williamson scored 192. The middle and lower middle order chipped in as well. Taylor, Anderson, Southee scored a fifty each as the Pakistani bowlers were hit all round the park today.
The umpires aren't really impressed with the light and decide to call it off. STUMPS ON DAY 3!

Brendon McCullum has released a statement this morning, passing his condolences to Phillip Hughes' family, Michael Clarke and his boys and everyone who follows cricket. He said that they were feeling very low throughout the ongoings of this incident. Yesterday, McCullum did not attend the press conference, he was too distraught. He had played alongside Hughes for New South Wales in 2009.
