PAK A vs AUS Live Score Updates
No run.
2 runs.
No run.
Australia have the early breakthrough they were after. Kuhnemann has his tail up. The crowd goes bonkers as Babar Azam makes his way to the crease, at number 3. A slip in place for him.
OUT! TAKEN! Brilliant from Matthew Short. They make these catches look so easy these days. Fired in, on middle, at 91.6 kmph. Maaz Sadaqat gets down on one knee and looks to slog it, but doesn't get the much needed elevation. The ball carries in the deep. Matthew Short keeps his composure near the fence. He takes the catch, loses his balance as he throws the ball in the air. He comes back in and completes the catch. Maaz Sadaqat makes his way back into the shed.
Is that a clean catch from Short? He claims to have caught it cleanly. He had to jump beyond the ropes to balance himself up and hop back in the playing area to take it on the second attempt. The third umpire deems that it is a legal catch and no part of Short's body was in contact with the ropes while holding the ball in hand.
Turn and bounce, on middle, Maaz Sadaqat turns it to the fielder at square leg.
After 5 overs, Pakistan are 25/0. At the same stage, Australia were also on a similar score. Matthew Kuhnemann (1-0-2-0) to continue.
On a length and on middle, Sahibzada Farhan pats it towards mid on.
FOUR! Nice shot! Billy Stanlake bangs this into the pitch and just around off. Sahibzada Farhan picks up the length early, swivels and heaves it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
A fine effort! Pitched up and on off, Sahibzada Farhan looks to drive it but fails to keep it down. It flies at a good place down the pitch, where Billy Stanlake gets low on his follow-through, sticks his left hand out, but the ball just does not stick in. It would have been an incredible return catch.
Touch slower and fuller too, on middle, Sahibzada Farhan knocks it towards mid on.
Short of a length and on off, Maaz Sadaqat runs it down to deep third for a single.
Back of a length and around off, Maaz Sadaqat punches it towards cover-point.
Will Australia deploy spin from both ends? Nope. Not yet. It will be a switch of ends for Billy Stanlake (1-0-7-0). He replaces Nathan Ellis.
Pushed through quicker, short and on off, turns away with bounce. Sahibzada Farhan moves back, adjusts well to keep it out to the off side.
Flatter, full and on middle, Maaz Sadaqat tucks it through mid-wicket for a run.
Tossed up, full and on off, Sahibzada Farhan drives it down to long off for a single.
Slows it up, shortish and around off, Sahibzada Farhan goes down for the sweep but gets a bottom edge to the leg side.
Flighted, full and on middle and leg, Sahibzada Farhan defends it on the front foot.
