Pakistan will play two Tests, five One-day Internationals and two T20s against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting October 14, the PCB announced on Tuesday.
"We prefer to use UAE as a neutral venue because its weather conditions, environment suit us and there is a large expatriate community of South Asians in the region," a board official said.
"Plus playing in the UAE is also cost effective for us and also allows us to make some profits," he added.
The first Test will be played in Abu Dhabi from October 14-18 followed by the second from Oct 23-27 at Dubai.
Since militants' attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009 in Lahore, no foreign team has visited Pakistan due to security concerns.
The limited-over matches will be played at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
