NKP Salve Challenger Trophy Cricket Tournament is being played for the first time in city from October 8 to 11.

Nagpur:

NKP Salve Challenger Trophy Cricket Tournament is being played for the first time in city from October 8 to 11 under the flood lights at the Vidarbha Cricket Association's Jamatha stadium.

Three Indian teams led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni (India Blue), Yuvraj Singh (India Red) and Suresh Raina (India Green) will take part. Tournament is a prelude to the forthcoming ODI series between India and Australia during October-November, Vidarbha Cricket Association, secretary M N Dorairajan, told a press conference, on Saturday.

He said India Red will take on India Blue on Oct 8, India Green will meet India Red on Oct 9, India Blue will clash with Indian Green on Oct 10 and final will be played on Oct 11.

National selectors Yashpal Sharma and C R Venkataraman will be watching players for selection of Indian team.

India Blue: MS Dhoni (Captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Jaffer, Jalaj Saxsena, Suresh Kumar, Kedar Jadav, Abhishekh Nayar, Yusuf Pathan, Naman Ojha, Harbhajan Singh, S K Trivedi, S Sreesanth, Ashok Dinda, A S Goswami.

India Red: Yuvraj Singh (Captain), M Vijay, Sunny Sohail, Shikar Dhawan, Ishant Jaggi, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvnesh Kumar, Wriddman Saha, R Ashwin, Sudeep Tyagi, Munaf Patel, S S Tiwari, Ishant Sharma, H Khadiwale.

India Green: Suresh Raina (Captain), R Rahane, Tanmay Srivastava, Ravi Inder Singh, S Badrinath, Chetanya Nanda, Irfan Pathan, Parthiv Patel, S K Jakati, L Balaji, Dhawal Kulkakarni, Pankaj Singh and Uday Kaul.
