Ajmal, who has not played for Pakistan since June 2015, was picked by Islamabad United after a Supplementary round which entered into the second phase.
Kumar Sangakkara, who retired from limited-overs cricket following the end of the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, was signed up by Quetta Gladiators as a supplementary player.
Sangakkara is currently playing for the Hobart Hurricanes in the 2015 Big Bash League in Australia. The Sri Lankan left-hander joins England's Kevin Pietersen, who was the first pick in the Quetta squad.
Younis Khan, who was the surprise omission on the first day of the Player Draft, could not find a team even on day two.
