The petitioner in the IPL spot-fixing case Aditya Verma on Thursday lodged a complaint against BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel with the Supreme Court appointed Retired Justice Mukul Mudgal commission alleging that the Baroda official has been misleading the media with "wrong statements".
"Today (Thursday), I lodged a complaint against Mr Sanjay Patel with the Mudgal Commission regarding his continuous wrong statements in the media about the IPL-6 scam enquiry," Verma was quoted as saying in a media release.
When Justice (Retd) Mudgal was asked about Verma's complaint, he was non-committal.
"May be he (Verma) has lodged a complaint but I am not supposed to make any comments in the media about it," Mudgal told PTI.
Verma, secretary of the unrecognised Cricket Association of Bihar, who is also close to the rival faction in BCCI led by Shashank Manohar, had earlier alleged that Patel had apparently made statements about Srinivasan being given clean chit.
