Mhambrey likely to take over as Mumbai Indians coach
Former pacer Paras Mhambrey is tipped to take over as the new coach of the Mumbai Indians franchise in the forthcoming Indian Premier League season.

"No decision has been taken to appoint him as the coach but talks are certainly on," said sources in the team.
Mumbai Indians, with icon player Sachin Tendulkar at its helm, did not do too well in the first two editions of the IPL.
After finishing fifth in the points table in 2008, the Reliance Industries-owned franchise slipped down two rungs and finished seventh this year.
Lalchand Rajput and Pravin Amre functioned as coaches in for Mumbai Indians during IPL 1 and 2 while South African Shaun Pollock acted in a mentoring capacity in the second edition after being a player and stand-in captain in 2008.
Mhambrey, currently the coach of Baroda, is set to continue in his job till the end of the 2009-10 Ranji Trophy season, before taking up his new assignment, Baroda Cricket Association sources said.
"He has requested to be relieved. But he will continue to be the coach till the end of the Ranji Trophy season," BCA sources said.
The third edition of IPL is scheduled between March 12 and April 25, 2010.
