Live Score - Sri Lanka vs Pakistan
Man of the Match for this Test is Sarfraz Ahmed. That's all we have for you from this game. The second Test will be played at Colombo starting June 25th at 10.00 am IST. Do join us then. Good bye.
With this, Pakistan have taken a 1-0 lead in the 3-match Test series.
Sri Lanka couldn't do much in their second innings as well as Yasir Shah bowled brilliantly and took a 7-for. He bamboozled the Sri Lankan batsmen, outfoxed them with his leg-spin and bowled them out for just 206. Pakistan just needed 90 runs to chase and they did it in style. They won the match without losing any wickets. Comprehensive win for the tourists!
The match started off with a lot of rain as Day 1 was a wash-out. Sri Lanka posted 300 in their first innings, all thanks to a ton by the opener Silva. Pakistan came back strongly in their reply. Their top failed but middle order batted really well. Asad Shafiq smashed a ton while Sarfraz's 96 with the tail got them a crucial first innings lead.
Sensational win for Pakistan. They have technically won this in 3-and-a-half days. This is also their 123rd win Tests and thus they've become the most successful Asian team. What a win!
FOUR! That's it. Pakistan gets to 92 runs in just 68 balls and wins the match by 10 wickets. It was a full ball on middle and leg, Shehzad comes down the track and slams it between short mid-wicket and mid on for a perfectly placed boundary.
Short of length on off, slaps it past cover for three easy runs.
Hafeez tries flicking a ball that is down the leg side, good running between the wickets to pick up three runs. Byes signalled by the umpire.
Fullish ball driven through mid on for a single.
Flicks away the length ball with a wristy shot down the leg side for a single.
