Live Score - Sri Lanka vs Pakistan
Hello and good morning! Welcome to the first session of Day 4 between Sri Lanka and Pakistan from Galle. The good news is that the weather is bright and sunny and the rain gods are being held back. Play to start soon.
Day 4.. Session 1..
The wicket is a good one for batting and Pakistan will back their batting line-up to overhaul Sri Lanka's first innings total and get a handy lead. Having said that, they need to bat sensibly against the likes of Herath and Perera, who can do the damage with their spinning deliveries. Stay tuned for Pakistan's reply.
Pakistan will be pleased to bundle out Sri Lanka for only 300 in their first innings. Apart from Kaushal Silva and Kumar Sangakkara, there was not much fight shown by the Sri Lankan batsmen. Silva batted well for his century but it was on the slower side. The other Lankan batsmen played too many rash shots to throw away their wickets. Wahab Riaz by far was the best bowler on show, while the spin pair of Babar and Shah also bowled well today and got some purchase from the pitch.
OUT! Loopy ball around off, spinning away a bit, Pradeep goes down on one knee for the slog across the line but gets a top edge straight up in the air. Yasir settles under it and takes the skier easily. SRI LANKA ARE ALL OUT FOR 300!
Flatter full ball on middle, Pradeep defends it off his front foot.
Flighted ball around off, Herath top edges it over mid-wicket for a single.
Fuller in length outside off, Pradeep goes back for the drive but fails to make any connection.
Pradeep once again hops back to make some room but Riaz bowls it wide outside off. The batsman ends up flashing and missing.
FOUR! Nice shot! Pradeep backs away to a short ball targeting at him and pulls it powerfully to the deep mid-wicket fence.
