Colombo:

India skipper MS Dhoni has won the all crucial toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the Compaq Cup tri-series final in Colombo.

Strugglig makeshift opener Dinesh Karthik has paved the way for Virat Kohli who was called after Gautam Gambhir's exit.

The Premadasa pitch has been predicted to get slower after the 70 overs, hence it will be important for Sri Lanka to restrict India under 250-260.

India, on the other hand, would like to avenge the humiliating defeat of Saturday that dethroned them from the number one ODI spot.

India: MS Dhoni (Captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, RP Singh, Ashish Nehra, Ishant Sharma

Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara (Captain), Sanath Jayasuriya, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene, Chamara Kapugedera, Thilina Kandamby, Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Kulasekara, Thilan Thushara, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis.
