Kapil endorses Indo-Pak match to raise funds for flood victims
Kapil Dev has endorsed the idea of having a India-Pak match to raise funds for the millions of people stranded and displaced due to the floods.

"I would like to see an Indo-Pak match for the purpose of raising funds for the flood victims," Kapil told a television channel from New Delhi.
Kapil expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives and property in the devastating floods in many parts of Pakistan.
"It's a huge calamity and to help the affectees, Pakistan and India should ideally play either in Pakistan or India, but if it is not possible then a neutral venue is also an option for both boards," Kapil said.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has said that it is in contact with the Indian cricket Board and the International Cricket Council to arrange the funds raising match for flood victims, Sources in the PCB said that until now the Indian board has not given a final response but the PCB was hopeful of a positive response soon.
"We are also in touch with the ICC to help and support in organizing the Indo-Pak match. The PCB is keen to raise more funds for the flood victims," the source added.
Kapil also said that he would also talk to the Indian Cricket Board officials soon about the proposed flood relief fund match.
"I would like to see an Indo-Pak match for the purpose (fund raising) in the near future and in this regard I will have a word with the BCCI officials too," said Kapil who captained India to the 1983 Cricket World Cup triumph.
PCB Chairman Ejaz Butt has said that the PCB is keen to organise the Indo-Pak match either in England or in the United Arab Emirates if it is not possible in either country.
