JKCA announces Rs. 20 Lakh award to Jammu & Kashmir Ranji Team

Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Sunday announced a cash award of Rs 20 lakh for the state Ranji Trophy team after their compressive 278-run win over Kerala, here.
Union Minister & JKCA President Dr Farooq Abdullah took the decision to reward the brilliant performance of the Parveez Rasool-led team, JKCA Spokesman Ranjeet Kalra said.
J&K in the four matches played so far has emerged victorious in three matches -- Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala -- while it lost against Himachal Pradesh.
Appreciating the team for bringing laurels to the State Dr Abdullah in a message to the JK captain Parveez Rasool said, 'it is great to see the that the team is performing very well under your leadership. You have led from the front and have set an example for others as well.'
My congratulations to all the members of the team especially, Ian Dev Singh, Adil Rishi, Mohammed Mudassar and Samiullah Beigh for their match-winning performances, he said.
'I wish the team continues this winning spree in the coming matches as well', Dr Abdullah said.
The JKCA President also complimented the team Management, coach Abdul Qayoom, support staff, JKCA treasurer Manzoor Wazir, provincial committees, selectors, working committee members and JKCA administrative Staff for their collective effort for the promotion of cricket in J&K.
