It's like we have won the World Cup again: Yuvraj's mother

Yuvraj Singh's mother Shabnam Singh is ecstatic and she has all the reasons do be. After all her son has returned home after successfully receiving a three-month long treatment for cancer.

Sporting a black jacket and a red cap, the 30-year-old landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport this morning from London and headed to his home in Gurgaon. His mother was there to receive him.

Shabnam, who is known to be Yuvraj's biggest strength, said she's extremely happy to have him home. She spoke to the media and said Yuvraj has been advised rest for 10-15 days. "I will cook him some paranthas and he will be taking rest for another 10-15 days before scheduling anything. He is very positive about the whole thing," she added.

"I am very happy that he is back. It was an innings that he fought alone but with the blessings of the country," she said.

She also said that it's been a tough period. "It was tough. It's like we have won the World Cup again," she said.

"I think that the entire nation has been so good and he is so grateful that everyone is there. He does not have to see any doctor before another three months. For now, he will just rest," she added.
