Wellington, New Zealand:
New Zealand cricketer Jesse Ryder has been linked with a move to play in the inaugural Caribbean Premier League in July despite needing to recover from injuries suffered in a late night assault.
His manager, Aaron Klee, declined to confirm the media reports, saying the batsman is "still very weak and can't do a lot" and that it would likely be two to three months before Ryder is "ticking over properly."
Ryder was placed in an induced coma after suffering head and lung injuries in an attack outside a Christchurch bar in late March.
The New Zealand Herald said on Tuesday that Ryder had been approached by CPL officials before the assault and might be fit for a mid-year return.
