Mumbai:
Former India physiotherapist John Gloster has blamed non-stop cricket for the string of poor results that Mahendra Singh Dhoni's side has been dealt with in recent times.
"I think that with so much cricket being played round the year, the players need to relieve mental strain more than their physical strain -- which they are unable to do. They need to take more breaks to spend some quality time with their families," Gloster told MiD DAY on the sidelines of an event.
Gloster, trainer for IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, blamed the preparation and mindset for India's dismal showing in Australia. "It's a very difficult tour, and one needs to be well prepared. I think that fitness was not such a big issue, but it was the preparation," he said.
