India women's team head coach Amol Muzumdar has spoken out regarding the trophy presentation ceremony in the post-match press conference:

"India are officially the (Asia Cup) champions. Trophy or no trophy doesn't matter to us. This is BCCI's stand (to not take trophy from Naqvi). We can’t say anything on this,” Muzumdar said.

Following the on-field huddle that was attended by Devajit Saikia and Rajeev Shukla, the Indian women's team went back to their dressing room and did not even come out to attend the trophy presentation ceremony.

Fan visuals from the stadium have confirmed that the crowd noise during the presentation was due to Naqvi leaving the ground without any trophy presentation happening.

The presentation ceremony ends without any trophy presentation to Team India. Much like the Men's Asia Cup in 2025, looks like the Indian women's team has also not accepted the trophy from PCB chief and Pakistan's interior minister Mohsin Naqvi.

We are going to have the trophy presentation ceremony of the Women's Asia Cup 2026 now. PCB chief and ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi is present among the guest panel. Let's see whether India do accept the trophy from Naqvi.

We are seeing visuals of an on-field Team India huddle, with BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla addressing the players and staff. Still no information regarding the trophy-presentation ceremony.

The final got over more than 30 minutes ago, but we are yet to have the trophy ceremony. It will be interesting to see what happens, given the men's team refused to take their Asia Cup trophy from Mohsin Naqvi.

Is another Asia Cup trophy drama loading? Will the Indian cricket team receive the trophy from ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi? The men's team avoided taking the trophy from the Pakistani official last year, and now the focus shifts to the India Women, who have won the title for a record-extending eighth time.

Their 129-run partnership tonight is the highest stand for any wicket in Women's Asia Cup history.

India opt to bat! For the first time in the Women's Asia Cup 2026, Harmanpreet Kaur wins the toss, and crucially it's in the final. So we will see Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma in action shortly!

We are five minutes away from toss time at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It will be interesting to see what the toss-winning captain elects to do given the spin friendly conditions in play.

Both India and Sri Lanka have won every single one of their games en route to the final. India swept aside Hong Kong and Thailand and achieved a historic win over Pakistan in the group stage. Then they beat Bangladesh by 40 runs in the semi.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka secured dominant wins over UAE and Indonesia and edged out Bangladesh in the group stage, and then managed to beat Pakistan in a hard-fought semi.

Sri Lanka are also chasing history. Having won their first Women's Asia Cup crown in 2024, they are now looking to go back-to-back. If they win, they will also become the first team apart from India to win the title twice.

India are aiming to win a record-extending eighth Women's Asia Cup title, as well as reclaim the throne from Sri Lanka, who beat them two years ago in the 2024 final.
