* Brendon McCullum has played 23 one day games against India. The second one day game would be his 25th against India barring unforeseen circumstance and injury. He would then become the tenth New Zealand batsman to appear in 25 plus one-day games against India.
* McCullum has played 224 ODIs prior to the start of the series. The first one day game of the ensuing series would be his 225th. He would become the fourth New Zealand cricketer to appear in 225 plus one day games. Others are - SP Fleming (279), DL Vettori (271) and CZ Harris (250). * Ross Taylor has an aggregate of 3985 runsin ODIs. He needs 15 more runs for his 4000. If he gets them, he would then become the ninth New Zealand batsman to amass 4000 plus runs. Others are - SP Fleming (8007), NJ Astle (7090), McCullum (5070), CL Cairns (4881), CD McMillan (4707), MD Crowe (4704), SB Styris (4483) and CZ Harris (4379).
* Ross would also become the 90th batsman to amass 4000 plus runs in the history of ODIs.

One more hundred for Ross Taylor would be his fourth hundred which would fetch him the second place. NJ Astle with seven hundreds to his credit occupies the first place.

If he gets it, he would then become the 26th fieldsman and second New Zealand fieldsman to have an aggregate of 15 or more catches against India.
* McCullum has played 12 one day games against India at home. The fourth game of this series would be his 16th one day game barring unforeseen circumstances and injury. He would then become the most capped New Zealand cricketer at home against India. He would go past DL Vettori (15), SP Fleming (13), CZ Harris (13) and GR Larsen (13) on his way to the first place.
* KD Mills who has played 11 one day game against India prior to the start of the series would have played 16 one day games barring unforeseen circumstances and injury. He would finish second to McCullum who would have played 17 one day games against India at home.
