The tickets for the last edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, which will be held in June next year, will go on sale on November 5.
The Champions Trophy, which pitches the top eight one-day nations together, is being scrapped to make way in the international calendar for a new World Test Championship from 2017.
"This tournament is part of the current rights cycle, as we call it," ICC CEO David Richardson said.
"Somewhere in the middle the strategy was changed as far as ICC events are concerned. We have three vibrant formats of the game and it makes sense to hold one major event for each format.
"The World Cup is the pinnacle 50-over event so the Champions Trophy is the one to go.
"In 2017 there will be a World Test Championship which will be the first time we have had a Test event on a global scale."
The Champions Trophy will be played over 18 days with the matches scheduled for Cardiff, The Oval and Edgbaston, which will host the final on June 23.
Attending the tournament launch event in central London in front of global media was England captain Alastair Cook, ICC Chief Executive David Richardson, and Tournament Director Steve Elworthy.
"We have the top eight sides in the 50-over format taking part at three world class venues competing for national pride as nation takes on nation. With the action on a daily basis in the group stages of this competition, cricket lovers have the chance to live every ball of every match every day.
"We also know that because of the diversity of cultures in the United Kingdom that each team taking part can be guaranteed 'home support' and because the demand for tickets will be so high we urge everyone to reserve their place at this special tournament as soon as possible."
"We cannot wait for the start of the ICC Champions Trophy in June 2013, and are delighted to announce ticket details for the tournament. In a summer packed full of cricket, we've ensured that fans across England and Wales can enjoy world class cricket at exceptional value. A family of four can enjoy a day of fantastic cricket from just £50." Steve Elworthy, Tournament Director, said.
"Next summer's ICC Champions Trophy is a very important event for us as a side. We don't often get the opportunity to play an ICC World event on home soil, and as we have a very good home record we have the chance to do something special next summer," England skipper Alastair Cook said.
