Durban:
Herschelle Gibbs and Nicky Boje have sent in their responses to Delhi Police's questionnaire on match-fixing and corruption allegations related to the 1999-2000 South Africa tour of India.
United Cricket Board of South Africa said in a statement that its Chief Executive Gerald Majola has sent the players' responses to the Indian High Commission in Pretoria for forwarding those to the Delhi Police.
The statement, however, denied that the two players may not have taken all the questions after receiving assistance from the South African Cricket Players Association, which in turn had taken help of people involved in the King Commission of inquiry into match-fixing allegations.
The questionnaires were sent after repeated requests from the UCB following uncertainty over whether Boje and Gibbs were going to be interrogated if they toured India as part of South Africa's squad for the two-Test series.
Gibbs has already served a six-month suspension but Boje and he still remain to be implicated and are wanted by the Delhi Police for interrogation.
Majola said the Board would co-operate with the ongoing investigation and stressed that it would continue to seek clear and binding assurances that should the two players travel to India, they will not face the risk of detention. (PTI)
