The Bangalore Royal Challengers may have lost the final match of the Indian Premier League but Chris Gayle seems to have no regrets. The south-paw who became the top-scorer of the tournament tweeted his joy at having participated in it and also took a slight dig at his home board for not appreciating his talent the manner in which it was in the sub-continent.
Gayle joined the Bangalore outfit mid-way through the event, replacing an injured Dirk Nannes and helped himself to 608 runs in 12 innings although he failed to fire in the final on Saturday. Gratitude for appreciation though was in no short measure from the Jamaican on the micro-blogging website - Twitter. "It's amazing I can score no runs and still be love & appreciated round the World!!"
He however also tweeted what seemed like his frustration with his home board. "Never get these sort of luv an respect in West Indies!!!." Gayle had had a tiff with the West Indies Cricket Board after confusion prevailed over his availability for the series against Pakistan. He however was also proud that as many as three players from the Caribbeans made it to the final match. "The party must go on...it was 3 WI players in finals, but at least 1 WI player taste IPL championship! Bravo..big up!! All 3 celebrating!!!"
