Mahendra Singh Dhoni's school coach Chanchal Bhattacharya on Monday said the Champions Trophy triumph "should shut" the critics who created negative energy before team's departure for England.
"The fantastic victory should shut up those jumping to conclusions regarding controversies that arose before Team India's departure for England, generating negative energy," Bhattacharya said.
"Dhoni and his team converted the negative energy into positive, giving India another major trophy after the 2007 T20 and 2011 limited overs World Cups," he added.
Jharkhand State Cricket Association President and former Indian team manager Amitabh Choudhary said, "It's another excellent feat by Captain Cool."
Dhoni's close schoolfriend Seemant Lohani described India's beating England in Champions Trophy final yesterday as one more milestone.
Bihar Ranji captain Adil Hussain, under whom Dhoni had played in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), noted that Dhoni delivers under pressure.
Singer Rohan Deo Pathak, who sang a morale-boosting song and uploaded it on the youtube just ahead of India's semifinal tie, said "I hope fans will give a warm welcome when our hero returns."
