Dubai:
England today mauled West Indies by an innings and 83 runs at Chester-Le-Street in the second Test to blank the visitors 2-0, having won first Test at Lords by 10 wickets.
The series win has helped England gain three ratings points which has put it ahead of Pakistan which previously occupied fifth place.
The West Indies remains in seventh spot after its series loss. But the reverse has cost it four rating points and it is now just three points above eighth-placed New Zealand. India continue to be at third position in the list, headed by Australia.
