The Group D league match between England and Sri Lanka will resume today after heavy rains curtailed play in the ICC Champions Trophy tie at the Rose Bowl.
England were 118 for three after 32 overs with opener Marcus Trescothick on 64 and Andrew Flintoff on 21 after Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu put them.
Play will continue from where it was suspended on the reserve day on Saturday.
The winner of the match will advance to the semifinals where they will play Group A topper Australia in Birmingham on Tuesday.
England and Sri Lanka have two points each, both having beaten Zimbabwe in the earlier group
Should rain wash out Saturday's play too, England will progress by virtue of a better run rate, (+3.04) as against Sri Lanka's (+0.629).
