New Delhi:
A division bench headed by the Chief Justice A P Shah said that the judgment of the single-member bench on the same matter is yet to come in this regard and so it would not go ahead.
"We do not want to interfere .... the judgment is reserved by the single-member bench," the court said.
The single-member bench reserved its judgment on January 29 over BCCI's plea to restrain Essel Sports to take legal action in the United Kingdom against BCCI and ICC for not giving recognition to its T20 sporting events.
Earlier, on December 7, 2009, the single-member bench had restrained Subhash Chandra promoted Essel Group from taking any action till the next hearing of the case.
This was challenged by Essel Sports before the division bench which had also declined to grant a stay. However, it directed the single-member to decide the issue by January 30 and disposed off the matter.
On November 11, 2009, Essel Sports had sent a legal notice to BCCI threatening to file a suit in the court of England and Wales seeking various reliefs and damages from BCCI, the England and Wales Cricket Board and ICC for not recognising it.
