New Delhi:

Controversial chairman of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association Aslam Goni has been named the Team Manager of India for the one-off T20 India will play against South Africa on Saturday.

Mr. Goni had left for Johannesburg with Team India on Wednesday for the fundraising fixture.

This comes days after Mr. Goni was blamed for a multi-crore financial scam, which had prompted the majority of the members of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association to ask for his resignation and have fresh elections.

The police had earlier raided the houses of treasurer and general secretary, who face allegations of opening and operating bogus association bank accounts into which money received from the BCCI had been siphoned off.
