London:
Former England captain Paul Collingwood has been dropped from the side that will take on Sri Lanka in a T20 and five ODI tournament beginning June 25.
Collingwood has already retired from Test cricket and was included in the side for the World Cup. A 10-wicket thrashing by Sri Lanka in the event eventually led to a change in hands at the top in the T20 version and the 35-year-old was replaced by Stuart Broad as England's skipper in the shortest format of the game.
The English press has quoted national selector Geoff Miller as saying that the omission is based 'purely on the basis of form.'
