Port Elizabeth:
Sehwag insisted that the pitch at the St George's Park was not a placid one and the batsmen were not at ease while chasing the target.
"The pitch was not easy to bat on. Often the ball was stopping and not coming to the bat. It was not easy to play fast game but still we managed (to score) 150," he said.
Sehwag was full of praise for his Sri Lankan teammate Tillakaratne Dilshan, who scored unbeaten 47-ball 67, to help Delhi recover Delhi from the early jolts.
"We lost some early wickets. Me and Gautam didn't get runs this time. But Dilshan got the runs. Today he featured really well, he showed very good cricket and during the last overs he batted creditably," Sehwag said after the match.
"Dilshan and others including Mithun (Manhas), (AB) de Villiers are playing some good cricket and hopefully keep up the job in the coming days as well," he said.
Royal Challengers skipper Kevin Pietersen was naturally disappointed at losing the match - their fourth on the trot --but was satisfied with the performance of the young players like Pankaj Singh and spinner KP Appanna.
"I am upset, very upset with the way we lost today and our fielding mattered during the match.
"(Defending the 149) We were very confident that we will do the things right and wanted to break opening partnership early. Panky (Pankaj) did some good job as well," said a dejected Pietersen, who played a timely 37 to help his team post a respectable score.
"I think we showed well with the bat. We managed to score 150. Some of our young players did really well in the match and I am very happy with show of the young cricketers who gave a good fight during the match," he said.
Dilshan who was adjudged Man-of-the-Match said, "I tried to put the singles during my innings and that worked. Besides, the bowlers also did well. (Amit) Mishra's bowling was really good today. All bowlers did well."
