As if stupendous batting from English batsmen was not enough, Indian fielders made sure they did their bit to keep the hosts in control of the game on Day 2 of the third Test in Birmingham.
Each catch seemed to put the fielders in a catch 22 situation. Here are some of India's butterfinger moments of the day:
# Alastair Cook, the man who tormented the Indian bowlers with his unbeaten knock of 182 runs, was dropped by Gautam Gambhir at leg-slip. (Read: Cook hundred puts woeful India to the sword)
# Rahul Dravid, known to have world's safest pair of hands at slip, dropped two crucial catches. He gave first breather to Ian Bell, whom he dropped on 30 off Sreesanth. The ball hit Dravid at the base of his wrists and popped out. (Also See: Match in Pics)
# Dravid's next 'slip' moment came in the last over of the day when he dropped Eoin Morgan on 43. He collected the ball but floored it immediately.
# But that wasn't Morgan's first life. He was earlier dropped on 17 by Sreesanth, standing at point. From the commentary box, Sourav Ganguly was very critical of Sreesanth for standing at such an important position.
# Our own Master Blaster had a little tough time out in the Sun, quite literally! Cook could have well been sent back for 165 if Sachin Tendulkar had made two metres ahead. He claimed he had been unsighted.
