Brisbane:
New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Brendon McCullum has signed to play for the Brisbane Heat in Australian cricket's Twenty20 Big Bash League next summer.
The 29-year-old McCullum, recently overlooked for the New Zealand captaincy, was the second player after West Indies opener Chris Gayle to score an international Twenty20 century, making 116 not out off 58 balls against Australia last year.
Brisbane coach Darren Lehman said McCullum was a special talent and "will win a couple of games for us, I'm sure."
Gayle has signed to play for the Sydney Thunder while Pakistan's Abdul Razzaq and Shahid Afridi have been signed by the Melbourne Renegades.
