Bollywood stars, cricketers congratulate Dhoni on marriage

Many Bollywood celebrities have wished Mahendra Singh Dhoni ahead of his marriage with Sakshi Singh Rawat on Sunday night.

Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was on Sunday swamped with congratulatory messages and wishes from Bollywood celebrities and cricketers on his marriage to childhood friend Sakshi Singh Rawat.

From Bollywood actresses like Bipasha Basu and Shilpa Shetty to legendary playback singer Asha Bhonsle and cricketer Yuvraj Singh all came together on Twitter to bless the 28-year-old Dhoni and 23-year-old Sakshi with health, happiness and prosperity.

"Congratulations in order to Mahi and Sakshi, wishing them all the happiness and marital bliss forever..," Shilpa wrote on her twitter account.

"Wishing Mahi and Sakshi a very happy life together forever. Sad that I can't be there," wrote Bipasha, who had also acted with Dhoni in a TV commercial for the footwear company Reebok.

Bollywood actor and model John Abraham, a close friend of Dhoni, wrote, "In Dehradun for Dhoni's marriage. All the best to couple."

Dhoni and John are very close to each other and have great passion for motorbikes.

Bhonsle, who is holidaying in San Francisco, wrote "Heard news that Dhoni got engaged. Best wishes to him."

BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan and owner of Chennai Super Kings skippered by Dhoni in the IPL, who was present at the wedding ceremony at Dehradun, said it is a "memorable day" for Dhoni.

Dhoni's Team India collegue Yuvraj Singh also wished him and Sakshi a great life ahead.

"Got to know Mahi is getting married! Congratulations Dhoni and Sakshi. Hope u have a great life together. God bless!!Yuvi and family," Yuvraj wrote on his twitter page.

Former skipper Kapil Dev also congratulated Dhoni.

"It is a fantastic news. I wish his married life can be much better than cricketing career," Kapil said.
