BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur has denied allegations of socialising with a person suspected of being a bookie. The International Cricket Council had reportedly sent a strongly-worded letter to Board of Control for Cricket in India after its secretary Thakur was apparently spotted with an alleged bookie.
In its letter addressed to BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya, the ICC has reportedly said that Thakur was seen with Karan Gilhotra just days before being elected as secretary.
Thakur, however, has responded to those allegations and have denied it. In a letter to the N Srinivasan, Thakur has said that the ICC advisory complaint is based on unverified information.
I have written a letter to Mr N Srinivasan, Chairman @ICC regarding the ICC advisory based on 'unverified information'. @BCCI

In the letter, he also asked the ICC advisory to share the names of suspect bookies with him or other colleagues in BCCI so that they may keep away from them.
Mr N Srinivasan may also share this information with his family members, whose involvement in betting has been proved. (@BCCI)

Thakur also said that the ICC supremo N Srinivasan has not reconciled with him after he was elected as board secretary.
